Teams from Karachi experienced contrasting results in the ongoing National T20 Cup 2025-26, with Karachi Whites securing two wins while Karachi Blues registered one victory and one defeat in their opening matches.
The matches form part of Pakistan’s domestic T20 competition, the National T20 Cup, which continues to showcase emerging talent from across the country.
Karachi Whites dominate opening matches
Karachi Whites made a strong start to their National T20 Cup campaign, defeating Faisalabad Region by eight wickets in their opening match.
Batting first, Faisalabad posted 171-7 in 20 overs, with Awais Zafar leading the scoring with an unbeaten 83 off 53 balls, while Irfan Niazi contributed 38 from 23 deliveries.
For Karachi Whites, bowlers Muhammad Umar and Sami Ayub returned identical figures of 2-30 from their four overs.
Karachi’s chase was led by an impressive unbeaten 76 off 51 balls from Abdullah Fazal, while Khawaja Nafay accelerated the innings with a quick 48 not out from just 20 balls. Karachi Whites reached the target in 17.1 overs, losing only two wickets.
For Faisalabad, Zaman Khan and Zeeshan Zamir claimed a wicket each.
Rain-hit win against Bahawalpur
Karachi Whites followed up with another victory, beating Bahawalpur Region by 12 runs via the Duckworth-Lewis method.
Bahawalpur scored 185-8 in their 20 overs, thanks to 59 off 35 balls from Imran Randhawa and 48 from 33 by Faizan Zafar.
Karachi’s bowling effort was led by Muhammad Umar, who took 3-27, while Saim Ayub contributed with 2-43 from his four overs.
In reply, Saim Ayub struck a brisk 53 from 33 balls, while Abdullah Fazal added 25 off 21 before rain interrupted the match, leaving Karachi Whites ahead on the D/L method.

Karachi Blues win one, lose one
Meanwhile, Karachi Blues opened their campaign with a convincing 40-run victory over Sialkot Region.
Batting first, Karachi posted 201 all out in 20 overs, powered by a blistering 81 from 39 balls by Usman Khan and 50 off 27 from Ahsan Ali.
Sialkot’s bowlers were led by Abdul Subhan, who took 4-41, while Mohammad Ali returned figures of 2-41.
In response, Sialkot captain Usama Mir fought back with 63 from 32 balls, while Abdullah Shafique scored 28 off 15, but the side was bowled out for 161 in 19.1 overs.
Karachi’s bowling attack was spearheaded by Khalil Ahmed, who took 4-27, while Mohammad Talha claimed 3-23.
Abbottabad edge high-scoring contest
Karachi Blues then suffered a narrow defeat against Abbottabad Region in another high-scoring match.
Karachi posted 201-4 in 20 overs, with Ahsan Ali continuing his fine form with 67 off 36 balls, while Jahanzaib Sultan added 42 from 29.
For Abbottabad, Shadab Khan took 2-32, while Arshad Iqbal returned economical figures of 1-22.
Abbottabad chased the target comfortably, reaching the total in 16.4 overs, thanks to an unbeaten 81 from 42 balls by Kamran Ghulam and a powerful 75 off 38 from Shahzaib Khan.
For Karachi Blues, Jahandad Khan and Khalil Ahmed picked up a wicket each.
