Karachi Whites reach National T20 Cup final

Karachi Whites stormed into the final of the National T20 Cup after beating Sialkot Region by five wickets in the first semi-final at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar.

A commanding knock from Abdullah Fazal guided the Karachi side to victory as they chased down the target with nearly five overs to spare.

Batting first, Sialkot posted 165-9 in their 20 overs, with Hasan Nawaz top-scoring with 43 runs, while Khawaja Arham contributed 40.

Ali Afzal added 26 runs as Sialkot attempted to build momentum in the middle overs.

Karachi’s bowlers kept the scoring in check, with Muhammad Umar returning impressive figures of 3-29, while Mohammad Asghar claimed 2-23 to restrict Sialkot to a manageable total.

In response, Karachi Whites chased down the target in emphatic fashion, reaching 167-5 in just 15.1 overs.

Opener Abdullah Fazal delivered a match-winning performance, smashing 88 runs in a dominant innings that set the tone for the chase.

He was well supported by Pakistan international Saud Shakeel, who added 45 runs, as the pair put Karachi firmly in control of the National T20 Cup semi-final.

For Sialkot, captain Usama Mir picked up 3-46, but the total proved insufficient to halt Karachi’s charge.

Abdullah Fazal was named Player of the Match for his superb 88-run innings, which powered Karachi Whites into the National T20 Cup final.

They will now face Abbottabad Region in final today 18 march at 8:00pm
